Five curiosities about Brazil that foreigners don’t know.

meet some curiosities about Brazil!
- Different from the rest of South American countries, Brazil is the only one who has Portuguese as an official language. The Portuguese is the fifth most spoken language in the world for approximately 191 million people.
- The Brazilian flag flown in the Square of the Três Poderes in Brasilia is the largest flag flown in the world. Not withstand the wind and tear, it is changed monthly. Each month a different Brazilian state is responsible for the costs of the new flag.
- The saci Pererê is a character in Brazilian folklore, perhaps the most popular of all. Boy mischievous and playful smokes a pipe, has a red cap on his head and walks jumping in the one leg that he have. Legend has it that he lives hidden by forests to scare the destroyers of nature. His biggest job is to haunt these men to never return to the place and stop degrading the environment. So do not get caught, hides inside Swirls, fleeing from evil men. But this kid, can not sit still, ready many "arts". Upon entering our homes, scares people, hidden objects and ready a mess.
- On May 13, 1888, Princess Isabel signed the "Lei Áurea" which abolished slavery in Brazil. Áurea means, "of gold", an expression that refers to the glorious character of the law that put an end to this inhumane form of labor exploitation!
- Considered one of the greatest idols of the sport in Brazil and a national hero, Ayrton Senna da Silva was the Brazilian Formula 1 driver, three-time world champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991. He died 20 years ago due to a tragic accident automobilistic.
